Learning & Training Methodology
Learning and training methodology in CBET is based upon the philosophy of learning through application, with learners' competent performance focused on three domains: cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills. The vocational teacher functions as a facilitator — learning is learner-centred and includes institutional and industrial-based training (field attachment) assessed via a logbook.
Assessment & Awards
Assessment is conducted in two ways — internal (continuous, by a vocational teacher) and final (external quality-assurance assessment by a licensed assessor). Certificates are issued by the Directorate of Assessment and Certification at VETA. The award is known as the National Vocational Award (NVA); Level 3 (NVA 3) is the compulsory exit of the VET programme.
